The Helping Hooves Equine Foundation is part of an integral approach being developed and promoted by Mindy Smith Equine Services, LLC to create a sustainable environment for the Rocky Mountain Breed and all the deserving greatness that these horses have come to represent. The Rocky breed has been as loyal as any animal known to man and it is time for us to honor this loyalty and preserve its integrity. The mission of the foundation is to facilitate the rehabilitation or retirement of Rocky Mountain horses experiencing deteriorating eyesight and in need of a helping hand. The Helping Hooves Equine Foundation is being established as a not for profit Foundation by a group of dedicated equine enthusiasts to help Rocky Mountain horses with deteriorating eyesight become a source of strength and harmony for many women and youth in our community. This will be a place of rest, care, compassion and longevity for both horse and humans alike. We believe there is a marvelous synergy to be found in combining the gentle and kind disposition of the Rocky Mountain Horse with women and youth that have had their self confidence damaged by circumstances out of their influence. The trust, encouragement and happiness that can blossom from the hands on relationship between a horse and a human searching for such peace will have life long positive effects on horses, humans and our community. We will offer an environment that is safe, private, harmonious and encouraging in which these new partners will become entrusted friends. |
